Hello,
I have a brand new CMMG dedicated 22lr upper that I have thrown on my P80 AR lower. I have installed a SS and the “Super Safe” mode is not working. I have a third party trip kit installed, and the semi mode works fine, but the SS mode does not allow the trigger to be pulled (like it’s on safe). I have noticed that if I rotate the SS forward about 5 to 10 degrees, the trigger can be pulled on SS mode. I believe the issue is with the lever not being long enough, or the trip bar being too far back. I have a 300blk upper than I throw on the lower and the SS works fine.
I was wondering if you could provide some guidance as to what to do. I am taking one of my spare levers and adding JB weld to increase the length of the lever on the buffer tube side of the lever. I am hoping this extends its length allowing the trip to push the lever more forward
Did you ever figure this out?
